Population Served: The elderly including those with Alzheimer's or other dementias
Services: A warm and caring home like atmosphere, meals and nutritious snacks, socialization and activities, assistance with personal care, health monitoring, community activities and involvement, support, respite, information and referral for family caregivers, option of attending 4 to 40 hours per week, services adapted for individual needs.

Services: Blood presure clinics; Screenings; Lectures; Consults on nutrition, finances, health, medical insurance, and life issues; Exercise program; Support Groups; Health resource library and videos; Assistance in the use of the internet
Fees: Consultations and most lectures are free. A fee is charged for the exercise program and for some craft programs

Services: Answer questions and give legal advice over the telephone; speak with others on your behalf; in some cases meet in person; in some cases go to court
Services are available for people with problems related to: Medicaid and Medicare; nursing homes. boarding homes and home health care; losing money or property to a relative, friend, or scam artist; physical and mental abuse; powers of attorney and living wills; housing, such as evictions; overdue bills and debt collectors

Population Served: The elderly in Franklin, Androscoggin and Oxford Counties
Services: The agency is a local, non-profit resource for elderly services in Franklin, Androscoggin, and Oxford Counties. They provide nutrition services including: home delivered meals, social services, handyman services, volunteer services, transportation, Alzheimer's respite care, elder independence of Maine, grocery shopping, a quarterly newsletter, and congregate dining and housing services. The goal is to secure and maintain the independence and dignity of older individuals capable of self-care with appropriate support services. The agency works to remove barriers to elder people and provides or promotes those in-home and community services needed to assure the greatest measure of self-sufficiency. Also offers FirstCall - information and referral service.
